Also known as CFOO (Chief Financial Operating Officer)
A CFO is the most senior executive in charge of financial activities within a firm. A CFO’s duties consist of: Reporting to the CEO and board members regarding, the firm’s financial strengths and weaknesses, reporting financial statements, cash flow statements and budget reports. The CFO oversees all of the firm’s financial functions such as, payroll, bookkeeping, banking and financing.
Education requirements for CFO’s in Canada are:
A Bachelor’s Degree (usually one of the following)
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • MBA (Master of Business & Administration)
  • Bachelor of Business & Administration
  • Bachelor of Accounting
As well as a Professional Accounting Designation (usually one of the following)
Typical CFO Salaries in Canada range from  $70,000 to $225,000 per year.
